Barrel House Distilling, known for its craft spirits in Lexington, is expanding with a $1.8 million distillery in Cynthiana. Expected to start production in 2024, it will be the first distilling company in Harrison County since the 1970s. Co-owners Jeff Wiseman and Pete Wright, pioneers in the industry, have successfully grown their portfolio, and the new facility will primarily focus on bourbon production.
