A recent report reveals that the Bourbon industry contributes significantly to Kentucky's economy, with an estimated $9 billion impact annually. This includes over 23,000 jobs and $2.2 billion in salaries and benefits. The industry's growth is evident in its support for local farmers, purchasing 21 million bushels of grain in 2023. The study, conducted by University of Louisville professors, will now be overseen by the University of Kentucky's James B. Beam Institute.
