Milam & Greene, a Texas-based distillery, has released a new Bottled in Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey distilled in Kentucky. Led by master distiller Marlene Holmes and CEO Heather Greene, Milam & Greene distills whiskey both in Texas and in partnership with Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky. This bourbon, meeting the Bottled-in-Bond Act requirements, was distilled in fall 2019 with a mashbill of 70% corn, 22% malted rye, and 8% malted barley. After aging for nearly five years in Kentucky, 72 barrels were selected for blending and bottling in Texas. The bourbon features notes of candy corn, honey, chocolate malt, fresh bread, malted milk balls, wildflower honey, and tannic oak.
